Supporting a Great Event

Support of Lambton for Latin America (SOLforLA) and Sarnia FC are teaming up on a project to bring a youth soccer team from El Salvador to Canada this summer on June 27th. We have approximately 15 children ages 11-14 that will be coming to Sarnia. Fundraising is currently underway to cover the cost of the team’s flight. The most current quote is $847.00 Canadian for each child.

Visiting a foreign country is an eye opening experience. It encourages the children to work harder in school and see life from a different perspective. If just one of these children goes back to El Salvador with the firm resolution to succeed in life, to break the cycle of poverty they are in right now, it will be worthwhile! If you would like to make a donation, please contact one of the organizers.

Accompanying the El Salvador children will be 4 Mayors from Chalatenango, Azacualpa, Potonico and Tejutla. There will also be 2 coaches, 2 members of Radio Chalatenango and SOLforLA-El Salvador.

Please consider supporting this international event.  If you would like to help as an interpreter, please left us know.
